Chuck
will be presenting three mini-yopics this month:
Delphi Monitor
Delphi
monitor is a utility that watches your root source code
directory and its subdirectories for file changes.
Using WinZip's command line utility, WZZIP, zip files
are created containing only the changed files that match a
list of file masks that you specify.
The
user selects the number of days to maintain - days in which
no backups are created are not
counted
(i.e., "Keep 10 days" means at least two weeks if
you don't work weekends).
Double-clicking on a particular backup and WinZip
opens it.
Source
code the use of and DirMon, a freeware component, will be
discussed,
Frames:
Visual component Creation
Chuck
will discuss using Frames as an easy way ti
“componentize” your apps. Frames are an extremely powerful way to build compounds
(pseudo-)components). A
few of the benefits include: -Built visually, similar to a
form
-All
subcomponent properties are automatically available-Uses
inheritance similar to form inheritance
-Changes
to frames are immediately seen in project using them
Dial-Up Frames Demo
Chuck
will also demonstrate Tracker,
a powerful tool he built using frames to explore
specific Oracle databases at Solvay.
See
you there!
